setting short and long-term goals

A complete fitness evaluation is administrated after all information has been obtained and
evaluated from the medical history and health screen. It is used to determine the client’s
present level of fitness. The results are used to design their fitness program and for setting
short and long-term goals. The following test and measurements include:

  • Circumference measurements (all major body parts)
  • Blood pressure
  • Resting pulse (used for designing cardiovascular program)
  • 5 minute fit test/ 3-minute step test (used for determining present level of
    cardiovascular fitness.)
  • Muscle strength (1 minute timed push-ups)
  • Muscle endurance (1 minute timed crunches)
  • BMI (Body, Mass, Index: measures a person’s weight in relation to their height)
  • Sit and Reach (measure flexibility in the lower back) optional
  • Body Fat composition (used in determining lean muscle mass and adipose tissue
    percentages. Also used in designing diet plans.)
  • Before and after pictures (taken at the start of the fitness program and again every
    30 days to gain visual results and achievements.
  • Maximum results formula (based upon the results of the body fat test, it determines
    how much of each nutrient (protein, carbohydrates, fat) a client needs on a daily
    basis in order to build lean healthy muscle tissue, then burn fat 24/7 and jump start
    their metabolism so that it operates at maximum efficiency.
